What is Pinterest? Some call it a “Visual Idea Factory.” In fact, Pinterest is a rapidly growing social network where users are able to share, discover, and curate visually. The idea of Pinterest is to connect people by the things they find interesting. The users of Pinterest can upload images or pin things using the bookmarklet.
Today, businesses such as travel agencies, interior design, and wedding planners are embracing the virtual pins and pinboards to promote their products, events, and services. Pinterest is perfect for lead generation! Because it connects with Twitter and Facebook profiles, it is also excellent for social sharing for businesses.
Since Pinterest is about things interesting, I thought I would take this opportunity to share 5 blogs regarding Pinterest that I found interesting.
By Donna Moritz, The title of this blog is what caught my interest first. I like blogs that have well-defined layouts that make reading a delight. The commandments include: Plan for Pinning Success, Check the Source Before You Pin, and Pin Strategically to name just a few.
By Olsy Sorokina, this blog is interesting because it also includes 10 tips to use Pinterest for business. Some of the helpful tips include: Get to Know Pinterest’s Categories, Pin About Your Customers, and Create Themed Boards to name just three. It is easy to follow tips and well written.
By Cynthia Sanchez for Social Media Examiner, this blog is interesting because it highlights three simple and direct ways to build a successful Pinterest presence for your business. They include how to increase your brand authority, expand your reach, and drive traffic to your site. These are very important strategies used in marketing
By Stephanie Taylor Christensen, is an interesting blog post because Stephanie takes you from the description to what Pinterest is thru the creation of pins to the use of boards for social-media marketing. She points out that you can “like” or comment which is useful for revealing new products and engaging users.
By Betsy Kent, is another interesting blog because I always like “how to” information. She takes you step by step in setting up a Pinterest account for a business. There are great visuals and it is easy to understand and follow along.
I found all of these blogs interesting for different reasons. Do you know of any blogs about Pinterest for business that you would like to share?
